Many clients who commit to my coaching programs say they would like their mind to be quieter.  They realise the noise but have not realised before the coaching, that this where the anxiety, depression, anger, fears, doubts, and many negative thoughts are created from.  One specific client raised the question ‘How can you overcome negative thoughts that are unconsciously coming to your mind?’

She was finding it difficult to sleep at night, she felt depressed and could not stop her mind thinking.  She would cry often, even when asked ‘how are you?’  Her anxiety levels were so high that anything could set her off and she would have regular panic attacks.  She would react to the smallest things in anger.  Her anxiety would make her feel incapable of doing her job.  In board room meetings and in front of clients she would fumble over her words and could not get her message across, thus lowering her self-esteem.  Additionally, she stopped believing in herself.  Even though she was on medication, she wasn’t getting any better.

In order to overcome the negative thoughts that are unconsciously coming to your mind, is to be more conscious of the thoughts.  This way, you have the power to stop voice and to stop negative thoughts into the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is where memories, emotions, habits, beliefs are stored and run as programs.  Any orders you give your subconscious mind, it will honor.  Therefore, if you repeatedly tell yourself you are not good enough, then that is what you are programming your subconscious mind with.

What you don’t realise and what you have not been taught, is that you must be consciously aware of what you allow into your subconscious mind.  The subconscious mind affects your behavior and actions in different situations. The conscious mind is what will command the subconscious mind.   The conscious mind is responsible for logic and reason and is where your will power resides.

8 Life changing Tips to free your mind from negative thoughts:

  1. Meditate and/or do Yoga to quieten the mind. Learning to quiet the mind and be in control of the mind is of utmost importance;
  2. Let go of emotions, negative beliefs, habits that cause your reactions and negative behaviors;
  3. Learn to love, live and laugh again like a child;
  4. Be consciously aware of the information you allow the subconscious mind to take in. Whatever you allow the subconscious mind to take in, is what you will program your mind with;
  5. Free yourself from the grips of the ego mind. Stop listening to the stories the ego mind tells you, for example, You are not good enough, or you don’t deserve love, or money, or a loving partner;
  6. Understand the power of your mind. The mind is extremely powerful and to understand it, is power in itself to transform your life;
  7. When you catch your mind overthinking
    1. become aware of the now (present moment);
    2. change your perception of all your negative thoughts;
    3. become consciously aware of all you are grateful for;
