Good and Bad ExpMy mid-life crisis started when I was coming up for my 40th birthday, yes the dreaded BIG FOUR ZERO.  I knew there was more to life than the life I had been living.  It had nothing to do with my kids and their highest values, it was something I just knew deep down at the time, that I had to do.  Around this time I read the book ‘The Secret’ and became fixated on living a positive life.

I wasn’t happy in my marriage and after a fourteen year marriage,  I separated from my husband at the time and a year later I was divorced. I was feeling as free as a bird and living a life of independence.

However, living a positive life was not all it was made out to be.  I kept attracting the wrong people in to my life.  I went to the USA on holiday and spent a lot of money.  And the more elated I became about life, the harder the knocks were and the harder they impacted on my life.  People kept telling me stay positive, yet I felt inside a huge on-going struggle of push and pull and I know now, that everything that happened was meant to bring me ‘back down to earth’, to humble me.

Being fixated on only the positive wasn’t working for me.  I came to a point in my life where I was so depressed that I cried for five days non-stop even though I knew I had the support from my eldest son and family and friends.  A very good friend of mine at the time, encouraged me to attend an inspiring course, which changed my life for the better.

It was explained in this course that there is a balance in life i.e. where there is good there is bad, where there is support there is challenge, cruelty and kindness, rejection and acceptance and so on.  Sometimes we can’t always see the good that can come out of a crisis but when we work through various methods to balance it out, you can find a realistic balance and then suddenly…….nothing else but love and wisdom settles in to replace those negative feelings.

What I didn’t realise then was that you have to fix your inner world in order to have the outer world to be the way you would like it to be.  It took time and extra effort to work through various methods to solve my mid-life crisis issues, however I was prepared to take responsibility for my life and fix what I could fix.  Through all my seven years of searching to help me along my journey, I am now at a point where I can help people to also LIVE A BETTER LIFE.

My life came together for me in many ways after applying various tried and tested methods and also learnt from attending various seminars and courses.  I was given a second chance in life and I have found my true purpose and that is to inspire people to do what they love and love what they do, for the good of themselves and for the good of others.
